Two people confirmed dead after a truck crashed into a gas station

In Yaounde, Cameroon’s Centre region, a large truck collided with the Neptune gas station, killing two people instantly.

The unfortunate tragedy took place in the Mimboman neighborhood on Thursday, July 27, 2023, in the morning.

The truck crashed into the Neptune station while traveling from Château Mimboman, according to witnesses in the area.

While the driver died on the spot, his assistant commonly called “motorboy”, who was also in the truck at the time of the accident, died from his injuries as he was being taken to the hospital.

Given that the truck driver’s body was crushed into bits, there was no hope that he would live.

Firefighters and law police personnel arrived in the area to keep things safe and collect more data.

The shocking episode was witnessed by station employees, who are still in shock. However, nobody was harmed.
