Yaounde: Late Fru Ndi’s funeral begins with removal of corpse

The remains of the chairman of the Social Democratic Front(SDF), late Ni John Fru Ndi have begun with the removal of corpse in Yaounde, Centre region of Cameroon.

The corpse of the political figure has been removed today July 27, 2023, from the Yaounde General Hospital Mortuary.

Present at the removal of corpse are a good number of political and public figures.

Ni John Fru died On June 12, 2023, in Yaoundé at the age of 81. He was the founder and president of the Social Democratic Front from 1990,-2023.

In recognition of his positive role in the promotion of democracy in Cameroon, despite constantly challenging his government, President Biya yesterday accorded Ni John Fru Ndi the honour of being given a state burial.
