Two persons have been arrested after an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Mokolo, (one of Cameroon’s biggest markets) Yaounde, this afternoon.
The two arrested persons are traders, MMI has learnt.
“Police went ahead to seize mobile phones from many people. They said the concerned individuals would explain at the station,” explained a source.
Our source further explained that, results findings that were launched when the first device exploded in the market on July 2nd, 2022 have not been released.
“An Anglophone dealing in traditional medicines was arrested when the first bomb exploded over one week ago. He has not been released,” he said, adding that “those with whom he was arrested have regained their freedom.
