In what has turned out to be a habitual occurrence, the locality of Waza and Ziguagué in the Far North Region were recently hit by the deadly Boko Haram terrorist group.

This time just like most other instances, the terrorist group upon striking gunned down two civilians of Waza.

The attack took place precisely yesterday afternoon not too far away from the village of Salé.

Increased security personnel and patrols in the area are proving not to be enough as the people of the region continuously cry for military reinforcement from the state.

As has been the case in all other Boko Haram attacks, the two victims of the terrorist attack Abissi who is a student, and the leader of the Wallassa district, His Majesty Modou Cheriou got ambushed as they returned from the weekly market in Ziguagué.

Members of the Vigilante have expressed deep dissatisfaction at the level of support which they have received and appeal that the government does more to help them maintain security in the region.

Many of them have also threatened to quit the civil duty should the state not give them the necessary human and material backing which will help them forge ahead combating the terrorists and protect their families.
