Coach Libii Thomas and the entire technical bench of the national under 17 lions of Cameroon have been dismissed. The decision was signed by the president of Cameroon football federation, FECAFOOT today, Wednesday November 6th 2019. Seidou Mbombo Njoya has however not stated a reason for the decision.
The technical bench of the under 17 lions it should be recalled just came back from the FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil where the team was knocked out at the group stage. The U17 lions played three matches against Tajikistan, Argentina and Spain, losing all.
Football commentators say the dismissal of the technical bench is linked to the poor performance of the U17 lions.
At the moment, the dismissed technical bench of the team is yet to get a replacement.
