Some students of the University of Buea in the South West Region of Cameroon have expressed discontentment as invigilators shortened their one-hour exam session.
According to sources, the English 102 resit which was normally supposed to be written today July 16,l for an hour was written for just 35 minutes.
One of the students recounted: “we were to start writing from 1 to 2 pm at Amphi 750, but we were rather allowed to access the hall at 55 minutes past two.”
She added that “they delayed in the sharing of papers and we only started writing at about 25 past two, but by 3 pm, we were asked to submit the papers”.
In an audio recording, a griefed student could be heard calling on authorities to do something about the situation.
“Let the Vice-chancellor hear, it let the president hear it, let everybody hear it, UB is killing us, UB is making things difficult for us” she lamented.
It is reported that the students quit the hall with tears since they were left with no other choice but to hand over their scripts despite having written nothing much.
