Britain’s Got Talent is a televised talent competition in the United Kingdom in which people or groups demonstrate their abilities in a variety of categories such as singing, dancing, magic, comedy, and more. Bruno Tonioli, an Italian judge, pressed the Golden Buzzer midway through the Ghetto Kids’ performance.

“I’ve got to do it now,” Tonioli stated before pressing the button. “I was literally bursting at the seams. You should be proud of yourself, and I can’t wait to see you when you return,” the judge told the young performers.

The children, aged five to thirteen, presented an exuberant routine to a variety of songs that captivated the audience so much that Tonioli could not wait until the end of their audition, something never done before on the show.

The inspiration behind the group is Kavuma Dauda who attended the show with the children.

“We call him dad,” explained one of the kids, and went on to explain in the VT how he took them from the streets of Kampala and ensured that the get a home, education, and healthcare. The group are a part of 30 children all being taken care of by Mr. Kavuma in one house in Uganda.

The Ghetto Kids have also played at a number of international events, including the BET Awards and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
