UMS Loum: Former captain, Joel Etogue to be buried on Saturday, July 22

The former captain of UMS Loum Football Club, Joel Etogue will be buried on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

The deceased player is expected to begin his journey to the land of the dead on Friday, July 21.

The funeral ceremony will be characterized by a gala match organized by ‘Future Stars’, the removal of corpse, church service, and burial proper.

The 32-year-old football player died on Wednesday, June 28 after succumbing to accident injuries.

According to reports, Joel was involved in an accident in Douala, Littoral region one week ago. He was on his way to Limbe for training with his Football Club, Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe.

“He was renowned for his pugnacity and combativeness,” a source lamented.

Joel played in UMS de Loum from 2013-2020, Yong Sport from 2020-2021, and FC Ebolowa from 2021-2022 before ending up in ISOHSA.
