Unite for Health offers free antenatal care, delivery for IDPs

Internally Displaced Pregnant ladies in Bamenda, North West region and in the nation’s capital Yaoundé can now receive free antenatal care as well as delivery of their babies.

The special care for maternal and child health is offered by Unite For Health Foundation as support to the vulnerable.

The offer comes as part of a health package from the non-profit foundation.

It says it hopes to achieve this through the use of telemedicine during this crisis period.

In addition to the constraints faced by families of COVID-19 victims, hospitals are recording a decline in the number of people visiting to consult for their health problems.

“That is why we have decided to launch a tele-medicine program at Unite For Health Foundation in order to permit those in the communities that we serve to be able to use their phone and reach out to us either through direct phone calls or video calls to consult with our doctors and get the best of advice on what to do about their health,” the Foundation notes.
