The government of Wales in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has honored a Cameroonian-born creative artist Mfikela Jean Samuel.

Four of his paintings were selected for the National Library – Wales Aberystwyth as part of its art collection.

This achievement was celebrated by the North Wales Africa Society (NWAS), where the artist is a member.

“It is my great pleasure to congratulate Mr. Mfikela Jean Samuel, NWAS committee member, creative art coordinator, and diversity representative for the Welsh government’s anti-racist action plan on the acquisition of four of his paintings by National Library Wales Aberystwyth as part of their art collection” a statement from NWAS reads.

Congratulating Samuel on this achievement NWAS said, “The paintings will be added to archives of the national library of Wales as part of their inclusion, diversity and decolonization project which is part of government initiatives on race equality”

Mfikela Jean Samuel is born to Cameroonian parents from Nso in the Bui division of the North West region.
