US Embassy says perpetrators of Kumba school killings should not escape justice

The United States Embassy in Yaounde, in a release, has condemned the killing of school children and wounding of others at Mother Francisca school in Kumba, South West region of Cameroon.

The Embassy says the attacks signal a wicked intention against innocent lives.

“The perpetrators of the attack must be held accountable and be brought to justice,” the Embassy’s release reads.

They also sent condolence messages to bereaved families, hailing health officials for their intervention to help victims.

“We offer our deepest condolences to the families of the children killed, the wounded and their family members, and all others affected by this shocking attack. We stand with them in this time of grief and express gratitude to all those providing medical care to the wounded. The heinous, despicable act shows contempt for innocent lives which most represent the hope of a positive future,” stated the US Embassy.
