One person is feared dead in a road accident in Vina, a few kilometres away from Ngaoundere in the Adamawa region.
Reports say a ten-wheeled truck transporting cattle overturned at the Vina descent.
Hundreds of the cattle being transported are said to have died in the accident too.
The exact number of casualties is yet to be determined.
