Dazed and confused families of victims of the Nacho Massacre are still to come to terms with the reality of Sunday July 16, 2023 shooting incident.

Most of the families are still in shock following the macabre act condemned across the board.

Ambazonia Separatist fighters targeted and executed at least ten people publicly with some caught by stray bullets.

One of those caught by a stray bullet was a bar owner, who died after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The family is in shock following the unexpected unfortunate incident.

“We are so heartbroken and sad. It did not only happened to us but so many other families,” Lum Hilda, daughter of the deceased lamented in a telephone conversation with MMI

Lum explained that, “He was caught by a stray bullet in his bar. When we heard that there was shooting we went to the junction because we were told that he was shot. When we got there there were so many corpses and we tried and carried out father to the hospital where he gave up the ghost from gunshot wounds”

Shortly after the shooting incident Lum said, “the military entered the quarter in great numbers and left thereafter after”

At the time of this report, the governor of the North West region had put a stop to the removal of corpses of Nacho Massacre from the mortuary for burial.

“We received a call from the gendarmerie up-station that we should come and give a statement after being told that the governor has stopped the burial of any of the corpses. Our father is still laying in the mortuary” she said.
