West Region: 22-year-old kills father for refusing him Christmas money

A 22-year-old boy has reportedly killed his father in Bandjoun, West Region of Cameroon.

The boy is said to his father after the latter denied him Christmas money.

The dramatic incident took place Sunday, December 25.

According to reports, the young man had requested some money from his father to spend on Christmas Day.

However, the latter will make it clear to him that there is no money available for him.

Enraged by the response, the 22-year-old decided to stone to death the old man while on his way to take his bath.

“Faced with the refusal of the father to grant him the money, the young man filled with anger grabbed a stone and shot his father in the back of the skull while the latter was about to take his bath,” revealed a source.

The young man later resorted to transporting his father’s corpse from the compound to the room.

The witness said the boy went ahead to make use of the opportunity of his father’s death to withdraw the latter’s wallet after which he got to,”… a local bar where he will have a good ice-cold drink with his feet crossed.”

While family members thought the old man died in his sleep, medical reports established that he was hit by a stone in the back of the skull.

The young man was later taken to the police station where he ended up confessing and admitting the murder act.
