A young man has been arrested for killing and burying his father in the Mben neighborhood in Bandjoun, West Region of Cameroon.
According to local reports, the young man killed his father in order to monopolize his motorcycle.
“His worried family had tried in vain to track him down until news broke out that a youngster had been arrested after a motorbike accident,” a source stated.
It was later realized that the motorbike in question was that of the missing father popularly known as Papa Togo.
The young man has “confessed to have murdered the old man to monopolize his motorcycle,” the source went on.
He however later escaped after being hospitalized in a medical facility in the locality.
The young man has remained untraceable since he escaped from the hospital.
