WFP Country Representative Received at the Ministry of External Relations

The Minister Delegate in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Félix Mbayu, recently welcomed Gianluca Ferrera, the new Representative and Country Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Cameroon. The meeting marked the formal presentation of Mr. Ferrera’s credentials.

During the meeting, Minister Mbayu and Mr. Ferrera discussed the current state of cooperation between Cameroon and the WFP, a specialized United Nations agency focused on combating hunger and promoting food security. The discussion highlighted ongoing and future collaborative efforts aimed at addressing food-related challenges in Cameroon.

This visit reflects the continued partnership between the WFP and the Cameroonian government in tackling issues such as food insecurity and supporting vulnerable populations in the country.
