A 30-year-old lady has been arrested in Melong for kidnapping her 4-year-old nephew whom she has been using to extort money from her numerous boyfriends while presenting him to them and their child.
According to reports, the lady who goes by the name Claire Ngamo, who is 4 months pregnant maliciously kidnapped her nephew from school on the 22nd of May 2023 without informing his parents.
She has since then been presenting the young boy to her numerous ex-boyfriends as the fruit of their love just so they can give her money. This has been going on for more than a week before she was apprehended by the forces of law and order.
“Kidnapping my child from school and staying with him for more than a week without our knowledge is criminal. Let justice be served” said the mother of the child when interrogated on what happened.
Claire Ngamo was apprehended in Souza by the forces of the national brigade of Melong and had this to say as defense:
“I am nothing today because of them. When I was raped they did nothing to help me. None of them showed up for me. I did what I did and today they want to make me look like a bad person,” she said.
The child in question has been handed back to his parents after the intervention of Mr Onana Nzama, commander of the mungo north brigade “With the collaboration of my men and the population, we were able to lay hands on the lady and the child has been handed back to his parents. The lady will now have the court to face,” he said.
The case has been handed to the Nkongsamba Court of first instance, where legal proceedings regarding the case will be heard.
