Sources have confirmed to MMI that the village of Bu, Wum Subdivision of the Northwest Region of Cameroon, was attacked last night by men in military uniform.
A witness said a woman lost consciousness after being tortured, with at least seven people arrested and detained in Wum, Menchum Division’s headquarter.
At least four houses were equally razed with propeties looted from some.
Apart from being the village of late Prof Amaazee and Barrister Amaazee, Bu is also the village of the mother of Professor Dze-Ngwa Willibroad.
The village is among dozens of villages in the Northwest trapped between activities of separatist fighters and soldiers, who have rendered life more difficult day after day.
