A barber in the Ekounou neighborhood in Yaounde, Cameroon has been detained after knifing a man to death.
Both men were engaged in a heated argument moments before the barber committed the act, eyewitnesses say.
The victim is said to have purchased a mobile phone from the barber but did not pay all the money they agreed he would.
Some time later, the barber is said to have asked for his balance, 1,500 FCFA but his victim did not have, leading to a heated confrontation between them.
Outraged, the barber pulled out a knife with which he stabbed his victim during a scuffle that ensued.
Confirmed dead by security forces invited to the scene, the victim was taken to hospital pending identification and reclamation of his body by family.
The barber on his part, was taken away by police officers, and is expected to stand trial for his actions.
