Yaounde: Over 300 passengers stranded at CAMRAIL after train delay

Hundreds of passengers are stranded due to the failure by a Cameroon Railways (CAMRAIL) train to depart on time.

This has left many, including women and children vulnerable on the streets of Elig-Essono, in Yaounde.

“We paid our tickets in Yaounde to Ngaoundal and Ngoundere and the train was due to depart at 7:30PM, but this is after midnight already and the train isn’t around yet,” lamented one of the passengers.

Over 300 passengers have been affected.

Many of them are lying on the floor, pending the arrival of the train.

“I wish you to denounce this injustice, done to us by CAMRAIL, this is so unfair,” said a passenger.

CAMRAIL authorities have not addressed the passengers.
