A truck driver has reportedly died following a car accident which occured around ‘Carefour’ Tropicana in Yaounde, Centre region of Cameroon.
The incident occurred Thursday December 29, 2022.
The truck driver whose name we got as Linus Mbeghansi is said to have died on the spot while two other occupants survived after jumping out of the vehicle as it missed direction.
Eyewitness accounts say the accident was caused by brake failure.
“They were two other people with him in the vehicle-motor boy and another woman,” the eyewitness said narrating that, “He had spent three days in the bush and was coming back when he had a brake failure and the truck lost control.”
He continued that, “the other two people noticed and jumped out of the truck before it hit an iron and tumbled and almost fell into a stream.”
His mortal remains have taken to a mortuary in Yaounde.
