Yaounde: truck transporting cooking gas involved in accident

A truck transporting cooking gas cylinders has been involved in an accident at Biyem assi – Lycée neighborhood in Yaounde.

An eyewitness said “the van carrying the gas bottles was taking a turn into the quarter, it seemed the brakes failed and it started coming backwards. The driver tried to get it off the road by turning the wheel.”

It was in this process he explained, that the van tumbled.

“No major injury was registered but we were scared it could explode” he added.
