Yaounde: Unidentified half-naked corpse with bruises found in Soa.

Inhabitants of the Soa neighborhood in Cameroon’s Capital Yaounde woke up Friday, May 5, 2023, to discover a corpse naked with wounds.

The man who is yet to be identified was found dead this morning in front of Government Primary School Soa.

The circumstances surrounding his death are sketchy but local sources told MMI that, “….he might have been murdered in the night by unknown persons”

“He was naked and wounded in the head as if he was beaten,” the resident told MMI, adding that “such killings have been common in Soa and Yaounde lately”.

He said they had alerted the police about the body but were still awaiting the arrival.

“This morning we woke up with a sad event as a young man was murdered at Government Primary Soa,” a local told MMI saying that”We are waiting for the police to come.”

The incident adds to many other cases of indiscriminate killing that have rocked Yaounde since the beginning of this year.
