Cameroonians serving as soldiers and armed forces under the canopy of CAMBRIS announces mega fund-raising gala to assist teachers, IDPs in Cameroon.
The Cameroon British Soldiers and Armed Forces Association, better known by its acronym, CAMBRIS-AF, a grouping of serving and ex-members of the UK armed forces of Cameroonian descent, has announced a mega fund-raising gala on August 12, 2023.
The event will be held at the White Diamond Venue, 141–143 Foleshill Road, Coventry CV1 4LF, United Kingdom. It is aimed at raising funds to assist teachers and vulnerable peresons in Cameroon.
According to a program made public by executive members of CAMBRIS, the event, which is open to public support, is expected to kick off at 8 p.m. and end at 4 a.m.
“The Cameroon British Soldiers and Armed Forces Association, CAMBRIS-AF, proudly invites you, friends, and loved ones to their fundraising gala scheduled to take place on August 12, 2023, at White Diamond Venue, 141-143 Foleshill Rd, Coventry CV1 4LF, United Kingdom, from 8 p.m. to 4 p.m.,” a message sent out by CAMBRIS-AF reads.
According to the invitation note, “the event shall feature live performances, comedy, DJ animations, a military display, and more.”
Support tickets are still on sale.
Funds raised at the event, according to the organizers, “shall be used to support PTA teachers and internally displaced persons, IDPs back in Cameroon.
Appealing for support, the organizers called on the public “to come and support a good course and the change craved for.”
It should be noted that CAMBRIS has achieved many humanitarian projects in Cameroon, including the provision of portable water and relief services to many local communities.
