The mayor of Zhoa council in the Menchum division of the North West region of Cameroon, Titus Donkeh, has announced that relative calm has returned to the municipality.
This, he has highlighted, will enable the municipality carry out development projects in the months ahead.
The mayor revealed that priorities for 2022 will be the provision of portable water supply in the municipality amongst others.
“What I have put in place concerning priority projects is water, electricity, and roads”, mayor Titus Donkeh said.
He disclosed that the Zhoa municipality when he became mayor did not have even a kilometer of good roads. However, in his less than two years at the helm of the council, things have changed.
“The population is very happy now as we now have some roads and we are doing all to make sure that we have electricity”, he said.
The budget of the Zhoa council for 2022 voted by the municipal councillors stands at more over one billion francs.
