Theresie Nyirakajumba Kenya's 123 old woman says she is a virgin

A 123-year-old grand mother in Kenya, a country in east Africa has revealed that she is still a virgin waiting for the right man who will marry her.

Theresie Nyirakajumba grew up without a boyfriend and has never seen the nakedness of a man, she told Afrimax in an interview that has now gone viral.

“I never had a husband in my entire life. People often asked me about love and relationships and how I managed to reach this age without a boyfriend or lover” said Theresie said insisting that, “My story is different. It is true, I am a virgin at my age.”

The 123-year old who lives alone was corrobated by neighbours who attest that she was never been seen or heard of with a man in her life .

“We grew up hearing from our parents that this old woman has never lived with a man,” testified a man living in her community.

Reports have it that the community she grew up in had a phobia for young girls associating with men – a situation that influenced her dislike for men at a tender age.

“Young women at the time were not allowed to be seen with men, in that era, it was a taboo. You could only be with a man who meets your parents and marries you. That time, I wasn’t interested in any suitor or any man,” she explained.

No interest in men

Theresie told Afrimax that she did not develop feelings for men when she attained maturity and turned down parental advice to accept and marry a man.

“I had strong fear for men and that prevented me from any potential relationship throughout my youth. I would see men coming to my hometown but I never developed love for any,” said the old woman.

In her youthful days MMI gathered, men proposed to women through their parents — and that wad the case with Theresie.

She always tuned down such proposals waiting for a time she would feel for it.

“In our time, we spend a long time weaving and doing other feminine works at home. We sat at home and help our mothers do domestic work while learning how to treat a man properly,” she said adding that, “after that, men will show up and propose to our parents who will then tell us about the pending marriage and we get ready.”

According to her, “I turned down many proposals because I did not feel like I wanted to marry back then.”

Some of her friends, “Were proposed to by men and they were married, and they convinced me to no avail to do same.”

Now, I can

Theresie Nyirakajumba has said she is now available and capable of falling in love.

The old woman revealed that she started developing feelings for men when she was no longer a young girl who can attract men.

“There was a time I started to develop feelings for men. By this time I was already old and no longer a young woman who attracts men,” Theresie went on.

Now that she is 123 years, she said, all hopes are not lost as she is ready and waiting for the right man who will marry and take good care of her.

“If I find a someone who is interested in me I would not hesitate because there is no woman who dislikes a caring man to comfort and care about her. I am still hopeful and waiting for my own man,” she continued.

Lonely

Theresie lives alone, after she couldn’t get married and have children.

She admits that she also lives a poor life alone with little to eat, sleeping on a mat in an old house which is about to collapse.

Theresie Nyirakajumba pleads with people of goodwill to assist her with food and a comfortable place of abode — as she is old and weak with no energy to fend for herself.
