Exactly two years after these men surrendered their weapons to the military forces, they have now been set free and they are set to be reintegrated with the local population whom they had once rendered terror upon.

Having been detained at the Meri Prison in the Diamaré in the Far North Region, these ex combatants of the deadly Boko Haram Terrorist Group learnt different trades to help them blend with the local population.

Some have acquainted themselves in tailoring, others in Agriculture and others in Mechanics amongst others.

These Combatants while in detention were allowed to live with their families and most of their children also attended some school while in detention. Tutors of this kids say they have. Some difficulties teaching the children because most neither understand English nor French.

Upon their reintegration into society, some of these Boko Haram ex combatants were quick to call on Separatists fighters of the Northwest and the Southwest region to follow their lead and lay down their weapons.
