22-year-old commits suicide by hanging in Douala

A 22-year-old boy by name Tekam Fidèle has committed suicide by hanging in Douala.

The incident occurred in a neighborhood known as New Town Aéroport.

Tekam Fidèle reportedly earned a living from truck pushing.

He rented a room where he lived alone.

However, his prolonged absence in recent days alongside nauseating odors which emanated from his room alerted the neighbors.

Once alerted, they created a hole in his door to see if he was inside or not. It was then that he was discovered hanging from a rope.

His family members were immediately informed, as well as the police.

According to police sources, the deceased would have left a letter in which he explained the reasons for his act.

His relatives however remain in total confusion as to why the deceased had to commit such an act.
