Nashipu Nuridin-Amin, a 24-year-old Cameroonian tech entrepreneur based in Buea, South-West Region, has created an innovative platform to simplify and fast track the purchase and sales of luxury goods and services.
Glitta, as Nashipu’s latest innovation is called, is also a potential employment avenue for many young Cameroonians in that it offers them a chance to earn between FCFA 3,000 and 10,000 daily through freelance delivery of goods to buyers.
The platform was launched on November 24, 2022, one month after it was created.
Glitta is made up of a website and a complimentary app that allows people to own online shops or sale stands where they can sell luxury products with very minimal charges.
It only charges its users (shop owners) on a “pay-as-you-go” basis, and retains just 2.99 percent of every sale a client makes, which is far more affordable than 20 percent generally charged by most competitors.
“Our primary goal was to bring comfort and luxury within everyone’s reach. Glitta gives everyone the ability to sit in the comfort of their homes or offices and buy whatever they want from distant markets and have it delivered where they are at a cheaper cost compared to what they would have paid had they gone to the market themselves,” says Nashipu Nuridin-Amin, the platform’s founder.

He adds: “Glitta gives vendors the superpower of being everywhere at the same time. This makes it easier for their products to be viewed and very likely bought by thousands of daily visitors. Glitta has several features that can generally boost sales, push our vendors’ products to the screens of potential buyers, and also help in management.”
One of the platform’s greatest strengths, he furthers, is that is it offers luxury and comfort at a very affordable rate and delivers goods and services promptly. The application also gives delivery agents the flexibility to shuffle from online to offline without any complications.
“We have an app that gives delivery agents the flexibility to go online or offline at will. We can only assign an order to an agent that is online and out agents do not pay us anything like they do on Uber; they use the platform for free,” Nashipu Nuridin-Amin adds.
Glitta is one among many innovative digital platforms Nashipu has created among them Muslims Meet (an online dating site); Shop4me (shopping site); GCERevision (to help GCE candidates and teachers); and Bernie-Amin Personal Development Stories.
His innovation has focused more on electronic commerce, because he believes e-commerce is cheaper, flexible and more accessible.
“The reason why I got into E-commerce is because E-commerce is the primary solution to our data problem in the market. With a very good platform like Glitta, consumers can get exactly what they need when they need it, from a store closest to them and very few people will be going out to get stuff because basically that’s the job of delivery agents.; they can deliver to more than 50 people a day,” he says.
As part of his innovative strides, the 24-year-old recently published a book entitled “Survival: The World We Can Create.”
Talking about his new book, he says “it cuts across economics, physics, mathematics, computer science, and philosophy” and it will be available on Amazon by December 10, 2022.
