600 Million FCFA allegedly stolen from residence of Cameroon’s Ambassador to Gabon

The Cameroonian Ambassador to Gabon, Ngaeto Zam Edith Fèlicie Noëlle, has been in distress for some days now following the mysterious disappearance of a huge sum of money from her residence, reports say.

The missing money is said to be about 600 Million FCFA.

Several media reports say the Ambassador has lodged a complaint with the Gabonese police, as she suspects her house help, Colette Eyenga Mvogo of having stolen the cash from her house.

Her suspicions are said to have been fueled by the discovery of the maid’s sandals at the place where the money was stolen from, coupled with her unusual disappearance from the house at the time of realisation.

The Gabonese police has launched a manhunt for the suspect, who has not yet been found till now.

In Libreville meanwhile, a lot of questions have been asked as to the origin of such a huge sum of money at the Ambassador’s residence. Where did the money come from? What was it meant for? Why was it at the residence of the Ambassador and not in a bank account are some of the questions that are yet to be answered by the diplomat.
