89 Missing AFCON Buses: Media Consultant Makes Startling Revelations on TV Programme

A media consultant, and journalist, Chuo Walter has added yet another twist to the ongoing saga of the missing 89 AFCON buses.

Chuo Walter claimed live on Canal 2 International on the program “Canal Presse” that the buses, contrary to what the government had said, were sold out.

The media consultant went further to claim he had even traveled in one of the said AFCON buses from Yaoundé to Douala.

“…when I went to Mvan, where the agencies are located, I spotted this brand new bus standing by the roadside and taking passengers. Then later I got hinted that this indeed was an AFCON bus,” he said.

“I decided to board the bus. I paid 3500FCFA for transportation and got on the bus. It was still brand new right to the interior… I also noticed that the number plates had been changed,” Chuo Walter insisted.

During the journey, the media man said he noticed something unusual from the bus driver. “…He kept delaying the bus at every given opportunity.”

He said that it was later on that it came to him that the driver did all this just to delay the bus and enter Douala in the cover of darkness when the controls were no longer alert.

“…At about 1 a.m when we arrived at Yassa in Douala, there I met several other buses. I was also told those were the AFCON buses, and that they transport passengers from various parts of the country, but could only do so at night.” Chuo Walter revealed.

The Cameroon government earlier this week reacted to the social media outburst on the missing buses, saying they had been rented and had simply just been returned.

Chuo Walter however, has debunked this and claimed that the buses were sold out and are operating under the cover of the darkness in Cameroon.
