The Municipality of Tokombere, located in the Mayo-Sava Division, has adopted a balanced budget of 2,087,521,903 francs CFA for the 2026 fiscal year.

This budget was adopted on December 23, 2025, following a municipal council session dedicated to its review and vote, held in the town hall’s official meeting room.

Prior to the adoption, Mayor His Majesty Boukar Tikiré presented a detailed breakdown of the various revenue and expenditure lines, allowing municipal councilors to thoroughly examine the priorities of the municipal executive. The budget is structured around two main sections: operations and investment.

For the year 2026, priority actions focus on the electrification of certain villages, access to drinking water, and the construction of basic social infrastructure, with the aim of improving the living conditions of the population.

The session was also marked by the presentation of a 20 million FCFA check granted by FEICOM, in recognition of the municipality’s efforts in upholding children’s rights, particularly through the issuance of birth certificates.

The meeting was attended by Biozeno Bachirou, representative of the Senior Divisional Officer of Mayo-Sava, who commended the work of the municipal executive and encouraged the continuation of development efforts for the benefit of all communities in the district.
