Cameroonian artist, Romeo Dika has expressed the desire to renounce his nationality.
Writing to the minister of justice, Dika explained that it is as a result of harassment from judicial authorities since his resignation from the ruling CPDM party.
The harassment he stated, is orchestrated by the “civil cabinet of the presidency”.
Following his recent summons, Dika in his letter to the minister of justice said they “accused me of being the one who would have sent a document to a certain Boris Bertolt which I did not admit to having done since I don’t know the gentleman.”
He further accuses authorities of bringing in his ex-wife with whom he has not been on the same wavelength, to humiliate him. “… the civil cabinet mobilized my ex-wife to defame me on national television” he stated.
Dika’s latest decision to renounce nationality comes after he fell out with the ruling party, later tendering his resignation. Among other things, he said the party was owing him several millions but had refused to pay.
