Following the ban placed on the movement of motorbikes in Bali subdivision by the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) of Mezam, Simon Emile Mooh, separatist fighters have reacted by equally putting a ban on the movement of public and private vehicles in the subdivision.

In an audio that has gone viral, a man who calls himself spokesperson for ARFs of Bali, under the instructions of Grandpa, Amba commander of Bali, announced that the ban is to be for three months renewable just like the prohibition on bikes by the SDO. And it starts today July 21st 2021.

The voice warned that persons who will try to violate the ban will not be spared.

The Bamenda-Bali road is one of the axis that leads to and from Ekok, border with Nigeria. It has been the major axis that traders have been using to import goods from Nigeria into Cameroon through the Northwest region.

The SDO of Mezam in an announcement on July 20, 2021, prohibited the movement of bikes in Bali following the brutal killing of five police officers by Ambazonian fighters last Sunday, 18th of July 2021 in Bali subdivision.
