The Regional Delegate of Trade for the North West, Ghogomu Abel Foncha has reported the shooting of two of his staff, Wednesday 8 June 2022.
Athenku Sadio Mandela and Yong Emmanuel were shot at the Hospital Roundabout neighborhood where they were assigned to work, said the delegate.
Athenku Sadio Mandela died on the spot while Yong Emmanuel was admitted to the emergency unit of the Regional Hospital in Bamenda.
It is yet unclear why they were attacked. A release issued by Mr Foncha did not mention who the shooters are.
