A 28-year-old woman by name Ndonkeng Seraphine has died in a fire incident at their family house in the Ekante-Mbeng Subdivision, Nkongsamba in the Littoral Region.
The incident reportedly took place around 11 pm on the night of June 14, 2022.
According to the deceased father, noise of raging fire and cries for help by his daughter awoke him on the fateful night.
He then tried to rescue her from the flames, but all efforts proved futile. Firefighters were alerted, but it seemed too late as screams by the young lady could no longer be heard.
The corpse of the 28-year-old was taken out of the rubble early this morning.
