Yaounde 5 has been awarded the sum of 100 million CFA after emerging winner of the cleanest city in Cameroon, organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban development.
The event took place today, Monday, October 3, in Bertoua, East Region of Cameroon, as part of activities marking World Habitat Day.
Second to the Yaounde 5 council is Garoua 2 which bagged the sum of 60 million FCFA. It is followed by Bertoua 1 council, Bafoussam 2 council, Nkongsamba 1 council, Mayo Darle, Ebolowa 2 council and then Limbe 1 council.
Over 300 councils took part in the competition organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
