Some families, made up of Internally Displaced Persons have been left stranded and homeless in Kumba, Meme Division of the South West Region, after their house was ravaged by fire.
The tragic incident occurred yesterday Monday, October 17, 2022, directly opposite the office of the Water utility company, Camwater, in the Station neighbourhood.
According to reports by FM Express Radio 91.5, it is alleged that cause of the fire outbreak ilwas due to a short circuit.
They equally disclosed that, “the building was playing host to a documentation center, a beer parlour and also served as a residence with 8 rooms before the fire incident.”
Despite the huge material loss, no human life was lost in the incident.
The victims have however called on the government to come to their aid.
