The Ta Mbveh Mosque, in Kumbo Bui Division of the North West region was spared by an inferno that burnt down shops early Wednesday March 29, 2023, a source told MMI.
This was after the population intervened to put out the fire that was already crossing into the Muslim prayer house.
“We thank Allah and the population for rescuing the Mosque,” said Muslim faithful in the area.
Government forces gutted down several shops in Ta Mbveh after the deadly separatist attack on Wednesday.
At least one civilian was killed and five other persons seriously injured during the attack. They are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Enormous human and material damage was recorded.
