After China’s Sinopharm, Communication Minister reveals AstraZeneca vaccine expected next

Cameroon’s Communication Minister René Emmanuel Sadi in a press conference today outlined government’s efforts in stepping up in the national response against the Covid-19 pandemic through vaccination.

Taking into consideration the second wave of the Covid-19 Pandemic which has blown across the world, announcing itself even deadlier than the precedent, the government of Cameroon has announced extra measures which it will apply to stop the spread.

Inasmuch as the other preventive measures previously implemented by the government need to be respected and followed to the latter, Communication Minister, René Emmanuel Sadi revealed that the government has settled on adopting preventive vaccines against the pandemic, a move that has been adopted by many powers across the globe.

Making mention of the 200,000 doses of the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines that arrived from China and was recieved by Prime Minister, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, René Emmanuel Sadi during the Press conference revealed that more vaccines, this time the AstraZeneca doses are expected to arrive the country on April 17, 2021.

Considering the fact that many Cameroonians are still to come to terms with vaccination as a means of preventing the Covid19 Pandemic, Minister Emmanuel Sadi assured that the vaccines would be available only for those who are willing to take them and not to be forced upon anyone like many fear.
