Some Cameroonians have since the country’s May 22, 2022 humiliating defeat to the Tanzanian U-17 female national team been expressing doubts over the sexuality of Clara Luvanga, who saw the back of the Lionesses net thrice.
Some said they doubt if Luvanga is actually a female player. The Tanzanian player, scored 3 spectacular goals during the match which counted for the first leg qualifier game for the Under 17 female World Cup billed for India in November this year.
According to Cameroon Under-17 women’s coach, Stephane Ndzana, “I remarked that some of their players had superior physical built over ours. I think that’s where the boat sank. If you see the player that is being talked about…She scored three goals. If she wasn’t there, I believe the scoreline would have been different. We were overwhelmed by their morphology and built. I think it had an impact on the morale of the girls”.
