Away and unable to return to their homeland, the Mbiame community in Douala received a high profile visitor in the person of Fon Nwe II, the Fon of Mbiame in Bui Division.
With much delight, the excited aborigines of Mbiame expressed joy and satisfaction at the Fon’s visit.
Many of them say the people needed such a boost to carry-on in these trying times of living far away from home.
On his part, Fon Nwe II equally said he was delighted to finally come in contact with his people he had been disconnected from for close to five years because of the Anglophone crisis.
“I have lived for close to 5 years within the crisis, with the many children given to me by God outside, and I deemed it necessary to come and see those who have been unable to return home, and those who ran away because of the crisis, sick and homeless, to greet them,” reacted Fon Nwe II.
The Fon encouraged the people of Mbiame to continue cultivating a positive mindset, that enhance their survival and also the development of Mbiame despite the ongoing crisis.
Fon Nwe II also revealed that the security situation back home is no longer as precarious as it previously was and has invited those who cannot bear life out of home to follow him back to Mbiame.
