Three persons have been arrested in Bonaberi Douala for producing and purchasing fake banknotes. A search in their residence discovered items they have bought with the fake money. A police source says others in the chain of the business will be arrested.


A suspected drug dealer is on the run after his niece was caught selling illicit drugs in Douala. To the 17-year-old girl, her uncle asked him to sell the drugs on pretext that they are accepted by the law.

Elements of the national gendarmerie in Logbaba Douala are haunting three adults believed to have raped two teenagers. Berlin, 15 years and Gladys, 16 years are said to have been raped on their way back home from school.


The Popular Action Party (PAP) headed by Njang Denis has distanced itself from a group called “Movement Liberateur”. In a disclaimer issued today and signed by Fabrice Lena, secretary general of the party, he calls on Canal 2 international TV to withdraw a statement associating PAP to the movement during her 7:50 French news cast of Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021.


The owner of a drinking spot in Kumba II says he has recorded material damages following the explosion of a local bomb last night. The divisional officer of Kumba 2 says drug consumption is the cause of such actions. He has called on locals to be vigilant and report suspected cases.


Less than sixty three thousand Cameroonians have taken the COVID-19 vaccine .The number is far less than 800.000 people targeted by the government. The phobia on the adverse effects of the vaccine scared many to reject it. Some Cameroonians say they further shy away from the vaccine when news of members of government embezzling COVID-19 funds broke out.

20 Cameroonian women have written two separate letters to the IMF and UN Security Council asking them to reconsider their dealings with Cameroon. The letter stresses that appropriate investigative measures be carried out in the country to uncover insecurity concerns as well as financial scams before more loans are given.

Cameroon’s President today granted audience to the French Ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Guilhou. The discussion was aimed at strengthening strategic partnership between both countries.

A BIR truck was involved in an accident which led to the death of two persons along the Maroua-Ngaoundere Highway. The truck driver was on high speed when he lost control of the car.

Several vehicles were today left stranded around Mbanga-Bakundu after a road block was mounted by armed men. Separatist fighters blocked the Kumba road, grounding several vehicles which were plying the road in a bid to lure state forces.
