Located a few kilometers away from Ekona in the South West region, Mamu village was recently the victim of a military raid that left at least six persons dead.
The raid according to information gathered by MMI began on the morning of Monday, May 1, at about 8 a.m. in the morning.
Amongst those killed were a “Famous CDC tax palm collector, general Sadam and some of his men”.
“They were surprised in a popular drinking spot in Mamu village and killed by the government forces. Other civilians were equally killed in the attack,” an eyewitness told MMI.
The other victims are currently being hospitalized at the Buea Regional Hospital. Some are reported to be in critical condition.
