After the July 22 mutiny at the Yaounde Central Prison Kondengui, Alobwede Van Kingsly Same was one of the Anglophone detainees exfiltrated.
When he appeared before the magistrates court, he made an emotional speech before the court.

Alobwede Van Kingsly Same wrote: “I Will Like To Repeat To This Honourable Court The Same Words That I Told The President Of The Yaounde Military Tribunal Madam Abega Eko Eko On The 16th / 03/ 2018 Before I Was Slammed 13years Jail Terms

“Like It Or Not Cameroon Is Going Through A Transitional Period In Which We All Are Either Actors Or Observers, It Is Quite Unfortunate That We Are Playing The Most Painful Part But Nevertheless I Will Like To Call On Our Attention That In Any Role That We Are Playing Lets Enable To Play It Well Because Definitely Someday In One Way Or The Other We Shall Respond Questions As Per Our Roles We Played.

“Shockingly A Few Days Go When We Were Taken From Prison For Investigation, My Accomplice Of That Said Accusation. Bezeng Mervin Akwang, Met With Sancho Eric Jackson At GPSO, The Same Police Officer Who Arrested Us In Tiko, Faked Evidences Against Us, Gave Fake Testimonies Against Us At The Yaounde Military Tribunal And We Were Thrown Into Prison, Was Begging For Forgiveness ” Saying I Didn’t Know That This Thing Will Turn Out To Be Like This. I Asked For Transfer From Tiko To Yaounde For Fear Of My Life. Same Man We Begged Severally That If By Any Chance We Did Anything Knowingly Or Unknowingly Against Him ,He Should Please Forgive Us As His Kid Brothers But He Blatantly Told Us To Our Faces, I Have Done My Job, What Matters To Me Is My Epaulet ( Rank ).

“I Decided To Bring This To The Attention Of This Court Because I am Happy Many Enablers And Perpetrators Of Genocide Are Regretting Their Sinful Actions Though Some People Still Give A Death Ear To Reality.

“Dragging Me Before This Court To Be Tried Because I Called On Mr. Biya’s Government
To Stop The War In Southern Cameroons

“Call For Inclusive Dialogue, Free All Arrested!
“To Enable Us To Go Prepare Grounds For Effective School Resumption Because We Have Parents, Guardians, Students And Teachers Amongst Us.

“Your Majesty I Have This To Tell you ;

“There Exists A Limit To The Force Even The Most Powerful May Apply Without Destroying Themselves,Judging This Limit Is The True Artistry Of Government.
“Misuse Of Power Is The Fatal Sin. The Law Cannot Be A Tool Of Vengeance, Never A Hostage, Nor A Fortification Against The Martyrs It Has Created.”

Kingsly Same is being tried together with Mancho Bibixy, Tsi Conrad, Thomas Awah and those suspected of instigating the protests last July 22 2019 in Kondengui.

Kingsly has been jailed for two years.

Alobwede Van Kingsly Same was arrested in Tiko on the 8 of January 2017 in connection with the Anglophone crises. “I was accused of recruiting Boys to fight against the Government to form our own country, Ambazonia,” he told Mimi Mefo Info.

He continued that he was taken to the police station in Tiko transferred to Buea the following day.

“In Buea i spent 16 days then i was later transfered to Yaounde Judicial Police on the 24th January 2017 and then to Kondengui central prison on the 14 of February 2017”.

His case like those of other detainees of the Anglophone crisis has suffered several adjournments.

“I was taken to court several times, my lawyers including Pa Ben Muna And Hon. Mbah Ndam Tried to defend me several ways but the Court finally forced injustice on me and i was sentenced on the 16th of mach 2018 to 13years. The court declared me guilty of the following:
Terrorism
Secessionist
Rebellion
Apologies de terrorism
Insurrection
Attempted To Change The constitution of Cameroun
Recruitment of boys to form our own country Ambazonia
Revolution And Others”.

The verdict of the case is expected today.
