Nchinda Veronique, wife of a Bamileke business tycoon in the city of Bamenda popularly known as Pa Cameroon, was Friday 6th August picked up by heavily armed men.

Veronique, sources say, was in their shop opposite mobile Nkwen at about 4pm when the gun men came for her.

She was taken on a bike to an unknown destination.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that it was not the first time Pa Cameroon was a victim of attack by gun men. Armed men had visited his shop twice, making away with huge sums of money.

Before the kidnap of his wife this Friday August 6th 2021, the businessman had just being discharged from the hospital, following a malaise he suffered after his released from the captivity of armed men a month ago, close sources reveal.

The Anglophone crisis has over the past months taken a different twist with an increase in kidnap for ransom.

A week hardly goes by without one or two persons being picked up by armed men.

Meanwhile, the 15 year old son of a Bamileke man call Chally ,who was picked up by alleged separatist fighters two weeks ago in the same mobile Nkwen area, has been released.

Sources revealed a ransom was paid for his release.

Heavily armed men alleged to be Amba fighters stormed Mr Chally’s shop two weeks ago asking for him. Failing to get him, his son was taken away.
