CRM party officials and others, arrested this afternoon while addressing party supporters and sympathisers at the Nlongkak roundabout in Yaounde have been released.
The Spokesperson of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party, Engelbert Lebon Datchoua just confirmed their release on his Facebook page minutes ago.

Amongst those who were apprehended this Tuesday November 6th are:
– Maurice Kamto,
– Christian Penda Ekoka,
– Me Simh Emmanuel,
– Alain Fogue Tedom,
– Okala Ebode
-Engelbert Lebon Datchoua

They were later released from the Judicial Police and Professor Maurice Kamto was ferried to his Santa Babara residence by security forces.

We are yet to however, confirm reports that he was placed under house arrest.

Prof Maurice Kamto braved all the odds, kept to words and addressed party supporters as part of the National Resistance Plan he initiated to contest Paul Biya’s re-election.

He promised them that he will fight on, till their stolen victory is restored.

Maurice Kamto said, he bleeds internally, seeing what is happening in the conflict hit Northwest and Southwest Regions.

He was addressing the people at the time when, Paul Biya, President elect was taking oath of office at the Hemicycle, National Assembly.

Maurice Kamto has maintained that he won the election and that the votes were rigged to favour the CPDM candidate; calling for a recount of the votes.
