Archbishop Samuel Kleda has once more reasserted himself as a key figure in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The prelate, who last year declared he had found a cure for the virus, has reminded Cameroonians of its availability as well as effectiveness.
In a recent release on his treatment, the Douala Diocesan Health Coordinator, Dr. Kameni Engelnert and OCSC National Coordinator, Dr Biloa Marius made known locations where the general public can get access to Kleda’s treatment in Yaoundé and Douala.
In the release, they also noted that the treatment remains free, only given to those diagnosed with COVID-19.
For those in distant areas, the medication, they noted, is available at 20,00FCFA (about 36 US Dollars).
Archbishop Kleda’s COVID-19 treatment, it should be recalled, had come under review last year when the expert herbalist said it was effective.
In May of last year, he met with Prime Minister Dion Ngute to discuss the treatment which at the time had reportedly helped some 1,500 Corovnavirus patients.
With the Covid-19 cases in Cameroon on the rise again, many have urged government to consider the remedy given the suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine over health safety concerns.
