At least 19 killed as Tanzanian passenger plane crashes into Lake Victoria

At least 19 persons have been confirmed dead after a Tanzanian Plane crashed into Lake Victoria.


The tragic incident occurred on the morning of November 6, 2022. The ATR 42-500 was said to have attempted landing in the lakeside town of Bukoba when it crashed into the lake.


“Twenty-six of the 43 people on board the Precision Air flight were initially rescued and sent to hospital,” BBC reported.


Reports indicate that the incident was a result of bad weather.
