Separatist Fighters have reportedly killed and mutilated a woman in her 60s who had been missing in Mutengene for days.
Days after her family reported her missing, the mutilated body of a woman in her 60s was discovered in Mutengene, in the South West Region of Cameroon.
The body of Mami Eleme Francisca was found on Limbe Road in Mutengene, Fako Division, South West Region, on August 24, 2023.
Some of her body parts were ripped apart, the grandson of the victim told MMI in tears.
Our source said, “She was discovered dead yesterday, beside a river at Limbe Road, all internal organs removed, her skin peeled off like they poured hot water or oil on her body.”
Amba fighters reportedly abducted her and took her to an unknown destination, and her body was only found dead about four days later.
“Yesterday, a woman told us that she saw Amba boys, taking her that faithful Monday, August 21, 2023.”
“We tried to establish contacts with them to know their demands, but to no avail. Amba butchered my grandma like a cow. Amba butchered my grandma like a cow,” he narrated in tears.
Before the gruesome event, Mama Eleme Francisca had been reported missing by relatives. MMI published the announcement, which was one in a series.
“Mami Eleme Francisca, in her 60s, left for the farm in quarter Rubber-Muntengene on August 21, 2023,” MMI wrote on Monday, August 21, 2023.
After a fruitless search for her whereabouts, her family decided to sound the alarm.
On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, her dead and disfigured remains were discovered, leaving the family devastated.
